NEW DELHI, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- Indian security force has arrested a man with arms at a market near Indo-Myanmar border in the restive northeastern Indian state of Mizoram, reported the Press Trust of India on Saturday.
The report quoted police as saying soldiers of Assam Rifles security force held the man and seized three pistols and as many magazines from him on Aug. 19, said the report.
It was still unknown whether the arms were meant for northeast insurgents, said the report.
Mizoram shares 722 km of border with Myanmar and Bangladesh and has been one of the biggest routes for arms and narcotics trafficking in India, said the report.
